The project

Texas has become our playground for this ongoing photography project. We go wherever the wind takes us - or however far we are willing to lug around three designer chairs and one hell of an apparatus, the large-format camera. 

We mostly focus on our home towns, Houston and Austin, capturing a mix of landmarks: bars, parks, scenic spots, friends' homes, restaurants...

Some images are well thought-out, others aren't. In the end, we find the process is what truly makes it all worthwhile. What happens until the sheet film is developed (often months later) defines the Starck Chair Project. The final product, these scanned photographs shown here, is a simple reminder, a memory of a never-ending learning experience.
